Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the TraffCoins mobile application. Please read them carefully before using the App.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Mufeez Ahmed Shariff ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the TraffCoins mobile application (package name com.traffcoins.app) (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding contract to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements. The App is intended for use in India.
2. Your account
To use the App you must create an account using a phone number (verified by OTP) or an email address and password. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain additional coins or rewards is prohibited and may result in suspension and forfeiture of coins.
3. How the service works
TraffCoins rewards you with virtual "coins" for travelling. When you start an earning session, the App uses your device's location and speed to detect movement and traffic conditions and to credit coins to your account. Location is used only while the App is open and a session is active, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may set, change, or remove earning rates, speed tiers, daily limits, bonuses, and other rules of the earning system at any time, with or without notice.
4. Coins
- Coins have no monetary or cash value, are not legal tender, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Coins are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access rewards within the App. They are not your property and confer no ownership rights.
- Coins cannot be sold, transferred, gifted, or combined between accounts.
- We do not guarantee any minimum level of earnings. The number of coins you earn depends on your activity and the rules in effect at the time.
- We may adjust, expire, or reset coin balances where required to correct errors, prevent abuse, or as otherwise set out in these Terms.
5. Rewards and redemptions
You may redeem coins for offers, coupons, and rewards made available in the App, which may include offers from third-party partner brands and businesses. Availability, value, and terms of rewards may change at any time and may be subject to additional terms set by the relevant partner.
Rewards are provided on a first-come, first-served basis while available. Once a reward is redeemed it generally cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded. We are not responsible for the goods or services provided by third-party partners; any issues with a redeemed offer are between you and that partner, though we will try to help where we reasonably can.
6. Safety and responsible use while driving
Your safety comes first. You must obey all traffic laws and never interact with your phone while driving. Set up or start your session before you begin driving, and keep your device mounted and your attention on the road. Do not let the opportunity to earn coins influence how, where, or when you drive.
You are solely responsible for your conduct on the road. We are not liable for any accident, injury, traffic violation, loss, or damage arising from your use of the App while travelling.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Falsify, spoof, simulate, or manipulate your location, speed, or movement (for example, using mock-location or GPS-spoofing tools).
- Use bots, scripts, emulators, automation, or any method to generate coins without genuine travel.
- Create multiple or fake accounts, or use another person's account.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, or interfere with the App, its security, or its servers.
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, or in any way that harms other users, partners, or us.
We use automated and manual checks to detect abuse. Violations may result in removal of coins, suspension, or permanent termination of your account.
8. Business partner accounts
If you register as a business partner, you additionally agree that: the business details and offers you provide are accurate and lawful; you are authorised to represent the business; you will honour the offers you publish in the App for users who redeem valid coupons; and you are solely responsible for the goods, services, and offers you make available. We may remove listings or offers, or suspend a business account, that we believe are inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, logo, design, software, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, and remove any coins, at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or where required by law. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature (including the earning and rewards systems) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that location and earning calculations will always be accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, earnings, coins, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
